Just steps away from the Riverwalk in downtown Hillsborough sits Eno River Brewing. After officially opening their doors in August, ERB is up and running and ready to host the community!
The owners had previously operated their NC Drainage business at the property, but with its idyllic landscape and proximity to the Riverwalk they knew it had potential to be more. After inviting a few partners to invest in the property’s future, the concept of Eno River Brewing began to take shape. The primary objective was creating an inclusive, authentic experience with the landscape, local beer, and the community. Work began in 2021 once the drainage business was successfully relocated.
Inside the brewery you’ll find exposed steel, long wood tables promoting communal seating, and a large glass window behind the bar allowing patrons to watch the brewing magic take place. All of the entrances were replaced with garage-style glass doors to bring natural light and fresh air into the space; Edison bulbs hang from the ceiling providing additional light and ambience. As you make your way toward the back of the building you begin to see the piece de resistance…a 1,700 sq ft outdoor seating area adorned with red tables and chairs, catenary lights, and red Adirondack chairs overlooking the Riverwalk. The exposed steel extends over the partially covered patio.
Our team recently visited the brewery and can confirm great beer and great vibes! Dog and family friendly…it’s a lovely spot for happy hours and weekend adventures alike!
