Last week the Andrews-Duncan House received Capital Area Preservation’s Anthemion Award for Residential Rehabilitation. The Anthemion Awards “recognize outstanding dedication and commitment to excellence in historic preservation of Wake County”. This award highlights the owners, architect, designers, and contractors who were committed to bringing this historic structure back to life.
Our entire team recently had the opportunity to tour the completed Andrews-Duncan House, and we are extremely grateful to the owners for opening their home to us. Throughout the tour project architect, Brooke, described the many beautiful and interesting features - like original fireplaces and full-length mirrors, exquisitely decorative molding (also original)…the list goes on! We also had a chance to enjoy the newly added porch and sunroom on a beautiful fall afternoon.
Congratulations to Tina and Jeff for receiving the Anthemion Award! We loved being a part of the restoration process and are thrilled to see the community’s response.
