Today David presented at the Historic Tax Credit Workshop in Albemarle, NC. This marked his 25th workshop presentation in towns across our state - sharing information and guidance on utilizing historic tax credits to encourage the rehabilitation of historic downtown buildings.

David Maurer, AIA, is president of Maurer Architecture, an award winning firm committed to our downtowns and our historic architectural fabric. Since ‘93, David has led Maurer Architecture in completing numerous historic preservation and adaptive reuse projects across NC, many utilizing historic tax credits. He is currently working with many small towns to encourage upper level residential development in their downtowns. He is a specialist on the NC Existing Building Code, and is a frequent presenter at NC Main Street conferences and Preservation NC conferences on various aspects of rehabilitating and invigorating our downtowns.
