A handful of our team members recently attended the 2023 Sir Walter Raleigh Awards ceremony held at Union Station. We were honored to be among the esteemed design teams and contractors recognized for their contributions to creating impactful spaces that either preserve history, boost our local economy, strengthen our quality of life, and/or enhance the appearance of our city (among other possible improvements).
“The Sir Walter Raleigh Awards for Community Appearance recognize outstanding new contributions to the character, environment, and appearance of the city of Raleigh. Since 1983, the Raleigh City Council has presented more than 200 Sir Walter Raleigh Awards to developers, designers, building owners, community groups, civic clubs, churches, and citizens.”
Maurer Architecture was among the design teams and contractors recognized for the following projects…
Andrews-Duncan House - Historic Preservation
Boulted Bread - Commercial
Vanguard - Historic Preservation & Community Impact (1 building, 2 awards!!)
It was a great evening of celebrating our city and those invested in its continuous improvement. A warm thank you to the Raleigh City Council and event sponsors for putting this occasion together!
