A few of us recently toured the Raleigh Rescue Mission, a local shelter that houses and serves homeless individuals. It was inspiring to see how many people this organization accommodates on a daily basis through the service of meals and emergency shelter. They also offer a long-term program for individuals (and women with children) who are willing to commit to getting their lives back on track. This program utilizes many contacts and resources to meet the individuals' (and children's) spiritual, physical, mental and economic needs. The mission helps these individuals get to a point where they are healthy and self-supported. There is such a great need for these services within our community and we are thankful to have the Raleigh Rescue Mission serve our city!
