This year marks the 10th Anniversary of the relocation of All Saints Chapel, which was built in 1874 for the Church of the Good Shepherd.
10 years ago the building was threatened by demolition, but was instead moved to its present day location on S. East Street and restored to its former glory as a beautiful and open gathering space. Maurer Architecture handled the move and restoration which included the digging of a new basement and a full interior renovation.
Last Thursday Preservation NC and Empire Properties hosted a 'Throwback Thursday' event inside All Saints Chapel in celebration of the 10 years that have passed. We were so pleased to participate in the event, and loved seeing it full of people- as it was always meant to be.
