Spectraforce Technologies will soon have a new home on Peace Street. Construction is officially underway!
The renovation will transform a formerly dark storefront into an open and flexible two-story office space. Complete with living walls and bright work areas, the renovation will breathe new life into the 500 block of Peace Street.
The existing building boasts rich textures and surfaces which will be highlighted in the completed design. The cast-in-place concrete walls shown below will be a prominent feature of the conference rooms and lounge areas. Glass overhead doors will enhance the flexibility of these spaces.
In place of the former stair, a large bright open stair will be the centerpiece of the lobby. A living wall will bring the outside in, and indoor bike racks will create a lively atmosphere.
On the second floor, original wood columns will frame a large open work space, and a long living wall will complement the exposed wood ceiling.
Small-scale and large-impact is the theme for the exterior renovations. New windows will enhance the original awning while improving the quality of light inside and the overall appearance of the building from the street.
