Check out Olivero in the Wilmington Business Journal!
Opening soon - Chef Sunny Gerhart is bringing Olivero to the Wilmington restaurant scene.
As the article highlights, history is a trending theme from the name of the restaurant to its location. With the use of his mother’s maiden name, Olivero, Gerhart leans into his family’s Spanish and Italian heritage as well as their New Orleans roots. The flavors will be inspired by this history, and will include local seafood and produce, homemade pasta and more.
The space itself is a 1940’s historic building on Castle Street in Wilmington, NC. With original storefront windows and 12-foot ceilings, the design concept was to work with the existing materials (including exposed masonry & steel beams) to create a warm and intimate dining experience.
We can’t wait to see what Sunny is cookin’ up at Olivero!
