Construction is wrapping up at downtown Raleigh’s first distillery! Craft spirits and cocktails, craft beer, special events, and great food will be the focus at Young Hearts Distilling Co, located in the former home of Trophy Tap and Table.
Our history with the building at 225 S. Wilmington Street began in 2008 when we were brought on to renovate the former Busy Bee Café. Although the building has seen some significant changes, the basic concept remains the same: to bring people together to enjoy delicious food and drink in a beautiful place.
The new distilling area is located on the first floor, visible from the sidewalk and immediately upon entering the space. The main goal was to establish a connection between the creation of the product and the people enjoying it. With a new bar, new booth seating, new toilet rooms, and an expanded mezzanine seating area, the space feels fresh and bright, with a focus on the distilling process.
On the second floor, the new bar and seating breathe new life into the space, and the roof deck now features an expansive wood and steel canopy, which will allow the space to be enjoyed year-round. Young Hearts will open to the public this summer- see you there!
